Safehouse Show VI - Rooster

This actually just passed, but I thought it'd be remiss not to at least write down what a great time it was and thanks to all for showing up and helping out with a good cause. The Safehouse shows continue to grow and inspire San Francisco's art community as a whole. Thanks once again to Jeremy et al for the hard work.

Moleskine Show

My friend Rodrigo Luff has invited me and about a thousand highly talented friends to show in a pretty unique little show coming up in November. We've all been commanded to work only in Moleskines. Working within limitations like this can be really stimulating and great for the final product, so I'm stoked to see what everyone comes up with.

Friends of the blog Cody Miles, Zach Oldenkamp, Wes Burt, Kemp Remillard, El Coro, Carl Dobsky, Jeremy Mann.. ok, everyone I know is in this show.

Universal Monsters [Actually] Online

The game I've been working on the last year is right about to go into open beta - it's a MOBA with the full Universal Monsters license (Dracula, Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Invisible Man, Wolfman, etc etc etc). Check it out and register over here at universalmonstersonline.com.
Sorry for the long delay - I'm working pretty hard on work and some other stuff (more on that further down the line) but for now, the wonderful folks over at Kotaku have featured my work (including some really old student work) here. Thanks Kotaku!

More Alexandra

It's been awhile since I've done any portraiture, and since the disappointment of a fruitless meat pie pilgrimage in the early hours of this morning - damn you Pie Press! - Alexandra was gracious enough to stare at the tv for a couple of hours today so I could knock this out in the old sb.

Nb it's a phone pic, hence the tungsten induced yellowness. Yes I still have old school lightbulbs, yes I'm a bad person, and yes the planet probably hates me :S

450 Sutter 1 @ safehouse show four

This was sold in last night's awesome Safehouse Show Four. Which was a great time, by the way - if you weren't there, you should get down to the next show. Thanks to all those who came, it was a great night.

It's acrylic ink and gouache on watercolour paper, and is around 28inches wide by 15 high. Ish.

And here it is with a much more successful painter standing beside it, in the hopes that some of his mojo will rub off on me :) And also the lovely Alexandra, who you may remember from earlier sketches.
